Below are some china plates, Lenox China, that I used to create some Pointer trophies for the American Pointer Club.

Painted China Platters/Plates
Painting on china and tile offers another style of artwork that works well with dog breed trophies. The medium, one in which I use a porcelaine paint that is heat set once the paint is dry, lends itself to any coat color or type, objects and landscapes. It has a watercolor look to it when needed, and can also be opaque in other applications. Another benefit to painted china and tile is that there is a much wider variety of objects that I can offer you in a broader price range than stained glass. The price points can satisfy the tightest of budgets.

Painted China Dog Show Trophies for Cavaliers
Here are a few pieces of painted china plates that I worked on in spring of 2018, for a Cavalier King Charles club. The long rectangular platter was for Best In Show.

Field Spaniel Painted China Trophies
In October 2014, the Field Spaniel National was held in West Springfield, Mass. I was honored to do some trophies for the show, for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite, Best of Winners, and some of the others. I chose to do my painted china plates, and a few canisters. Below you will see most of what was offered for prizes. I used the four main colors of Field Spaniels for subjects on my painted china. The subject on the Back To The Future Sweepstakes prize was the scene of the two dogs from the logo. Where I could, I added a little touch of gold paint for accents to make the painted china pieces a little more special.

Kerry Blue Terrier Painted China Plate
Another breed for the painted china plates, here is a Kerry Blue Terrier in a coastal Ireland scene, with sheep in the background. I will be doing some more painted china for a Kerry Blue Terrier club next spring for their national. The china that was supplied to me is Royal Doulton. This plate is a salad size piece.
