Goals: Create a visually pleasing site that reflects the professionalism and personal service of Hudson Sullivan Homes. For most web viewers this will be their first impression of the business. Organize the site around the key services that the customer is looking for. Use of interesting graphics that mirror the home, the home building process and draw viewers to the site’s informational areas and to the main call-to-action (Contact to Hudson Sullivan Homes). Use searchable keywords in the Page Title, Meta Descriptions, Meta Keywords, Menu Names, Page Headings, and Text to help web searchers find the services offered by Hudson Sullivan Homes.

Strategy: Give personality to the site by using Toys Ahoy! sailor bear characters. Targeted products shots and boating theme named pages and headings. Write copy with a friendly welcoming tone, and make it easy to scan using bold headings. Blog page that puts a spot light on new product arrivals. Build custom CRM database. Send email blasts with links to new arrivals blog page. Focus on converting web searchers to store customers by using SEO marketing research. Goals: Create a visually pleasing site that reflects the personality of The Christmas Barn. For most web viewers this will be their first impression of the store. Organize the site to ensure ease of use. Bold graphics to draw viewers to the site’s informational areas and to the main call-to-action (view the sample products, and visit the store to purchase). Extensive use of keyword research in the page title, meta descriptions, meta keywords, page headings, and text to help web searchers find the store online.

Strategy: Site background to be an enhanced photograph of The Christmas Barn, including decorations and lights. Appearance of the site will change based on the time of day. By day the sky will be blue and the Barn decorated with greens and colored lights. At night the sky will be dark, speckled with stars and glowing Christmas lights frame the Barn. Top window in the Barn will be a container for banner ads featuring products of interest. Make the heading and sub heading of the page look like the actual signs on the Barn. Keep customers informed by displaying the number of days left until Christmas. To add to the sensory experience, an old fashioned radio will play an ad for The Christmas Barn. Assist clients’ ability to make appointments, and print coupons online.

Strategy: Create pages that are keyed into what customers are looking for. Design a page where prospective clients can meet the Stylists. Provide an area that lists Salon services and pricing in a clear and stylish way. Highlight the products used and sold by the Salon. Present printable coupons to both reward current clients and entice new ones. Present a form area for clients to make Salon appointments online. About All Things Film. com – Product Photo Animations for Williams & Company

Specifications: Assemble studio photographs into seven animations showing products in action (only five of the animations were used on the site). Animations required silhouetting each frame from the background and inserting a new background. Photoshop enhancements included changing colors and number of products, adding a semi-transparent overlay shipping box with labels, cloning out prop lines from boxes and rubber bands around DVDs, and creating gift wrapping paper around shipping boxes.

eLiterature High School Literature Curriculum – Interactive Print Design

Specifications: Developed techniques to convert InDesign page layouts into an interactive rich media experience. Responsible for all of the Flash interaction programming, movable palettes, popup footnotes, hyperlinks to student workbook, streaming sound and video play-back. Managed and created JavaScripts for the student workbook. Defined XHTML, CSS screen and print layout requirements for the student workbook and supervised their implementation.

eMath Elementary Math Curriculum – New Design

Specifications: Created new concept for online Elementary Math Curriculum, a hybrid of student book and work book that contained a built-in teacher and tools to help children learn. Responsible for the design and layout, XHTML, CSS for screen and print, Flash and JavaScript programming, sound recording and editing.

Kirchoff/Wohlberg, Inc. – New Web Site Design

Audience: Educational Publishers looking for development services for educational text books grades K- 12.

Goals: Create customer awareness of the full array of services that are available.

Strategy: Present extensive work samples in all content areas showing mastery of Editorial Services, Design & Production, Photo Research, Artist Representation and Literary Agent services.

Benefits: Online portfolio removed the cost of sending out samples and expanded awareness of full range of services in the publishing industry.

Turtle Books – eBook Design Prototype

Specifications: Created an interactive flip book for Web and CD-ROM that integrated an audio track from the DVD version of the printed book. Produced with Photoshop, Flash and Sound Studio.

Smith-Wesson Travel – New Web Site Design

Specifications: Co-designer of site, and was responsible for all of the XHTML, CSS, XSLT and JavaScript. Designed and created a back-end CRM database to collect and manage form submissions from contest winners. The database was remotely accessed by the client and travel agents to book flights, ship cabins, and guests’ activity choices.
