New English Springer Spaniel Letter Holders and Clock Designs

This is a new design for Mungo Works: a letter holder in stained glass and wood. The bottom of the holder is wood with two grooves into which the stained glass fits snugly. Shown here are two versions of stained glass English Springers, one a black and white and one a liver and white. They measure 5 inches wide and approximately 5 inches tall.

    Irish Setter Stained Glass Clock

Yet another new addition to our stained glass dog breeds, an Irish Setter clock. This variation on the clock style seen in earlier designs has the Irish Setter’s head off to the side, creating a longer, lower base, with an Art Deco flavor. Earthy green and amber stained glass was used for the background to set off the mahogany colored glass of the Irish Setter’s head, an homage to its country of origin, Ireland. The base of this stained glass clock measures approximately 12 inches.

    Chocolate Labrador Retriever Portrait

This custom dog portrait is of Summer, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Dr. Ed Monroe from North Carolina found our website and commissioned me to do this portrait of his Lab for his wife’s Christmas present, as a surprise. Through email, I was provided with high quality photos of the dog. I emailed back a preliminary sketch to make sure I had the right look and with the okay from Dr. Monroe, I proceeded with the finish work. Now it is in the private collection of Dr. and Mrs. Ed Monroe.

    Flat Coated Retriever Portrait

This custom dog portrait is of Tapas, a Flat Coated Retriever. It was done as a secret gift for a friend for Christmas of 2009, and is now in the home of Donna Bennett. Doing a portrait of a dog that I know can be difficult, as it can be harder to capture that essence I’m familiar with. The eyes are where the personality is and I believe I’ve captured Tapas’ happy-go-lucky yet sensitive nature.
